My name is Robbie McNeil and I have over 14 years experience working in Haematology in the UK, 9 at consultant level. I live in the Forth Valley area next to the Ochil Hills and work locally as a consultant in the NHS at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be able to offer a local private clinical haematology clinic service for adult patients in Scotland.
I provide a personal, caring and professional service with negligible waiting time. I am able to see patients either with a referral from a doctor or as a self referral.
For patients that require ongoing follow up I can discuss options around NHS referral or follow up in my clinic where appropriate. For patients with conditions that are suitable for follow up in the private clinic I can provide continuity of care which is consultant delivered.
Understandably, blood problems can provoke a lot of anxiety and fear. My role is to put patients minds at ease and to explain in clear language what may be the problem and how I can potentially manage it.
Although I am an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders, I pride myself in being able to listen and communicate to patients in a caring and compassionate manner.
